The first stage of London 2012 is over. The Olympic Games have finished and the Paralympics don’t start for another couple of weeks. What are we going to do in the meantime?
I was a fan of the Olympics long before they actually arrived in London and I’m really pleased that they were so successfully presented – it’s always good when your own country actually does something well on a global stage – it means that we Brits can walk a little taller and stand a bit prouder.
I didn’t go to any of the sporting events, but I did manage to get a ticket for the Olympic Park so that I could get some photos of the Stadium, The Orbit, the Velodrome and generally experience the atmosphere of the Olympic Park. I’d been hoping to get a ticket to go up The Orbit, but there were never any available for when I was actually there.
So I thought I’d share some of these pictures with you here. If you want to purchase any please email me on firstname.lastname@example.org or go to my Fine Art America page where you can see even more pictures and buy them in even more formats.
There are many more pictures available…OR…if you have a photo that you took at the Olympics (or in London) I could convert it into a similar painting like artwork for you or for a gift for a friend or loved one – email or call for details.
After I left the Olympic Park, I visited the centre of London where I took some more pictures.
